The Sledding Scarf is a vintage style that’s making a lovely comeback. Originally designed for children—because they stay securely in place—they’ve recently enjoyed a revival among adults as well. Also known as Bow‑Tied Scarves or Miss Marple Scarves, they have a timeless look reminiscent of classic French neckwear.

I have one scarf knitted from a commercially spun merino DK yarn, which I hand‑dyed in a rich turquoise using acid dyes. It’s every bit as light, soft, and warm as the hand‑spun versions, with the same elegant drape and comfort.

Note: Photographed in natural light, but colours may vary slightly depending on your screen. This scarf is more on the green side of turquoise.
